Michael N. Yaker, MD
Michael N. Yaker, MD, FAAP, is a founding partner of Westside Pediatrics. Dr. Yaker is a graduate of The Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He completed his pediatric training at The Mount Sinai Hospital where he was Chief Resident in the Department of Pediatrics. Dr. Yaker is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai where he remains active in medical education. He is Vice Chair for Community Practices in the Department of Pediatrics at Mount Sinai. He has been in practice at Westside Pediatrics since 1996.
In addition to his expertise in General Pediatrics, Dr. Yaker has an interest in Global Health. He has participated in multiple medical missions, including to the Dominican Republic, Haiti and Rwanda. He currently sits on the Medical Advisory Board of the International Organization for Women and Development. He also sits on the Board of The Armory Foundation, “keeping kids on track” through running and academic support.
Dr. Yaker lives in New York City, enjoys traveling and is an avid runner. He has completed more than 30 marathons, including all five of the original World Marathon Majors.
Adrianne Goldberg, MD
Adrianne Goldberg, MD, FAAP, is a founding partner of Westside Pediatrics. Dr. Goldberg is a graduate of Sophie Davis BS/MD program and graduated with honors from Downstate Medical School. She completed her pediatric residency training at The Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Goldberg is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and active in residency training. She has been in practice at Westside Pediatrics since 1996.
In addition, Dr. Goldberg has been active in Project DOCC (Delivery of Chronic Care) teaching pediatric residents at Mount Sinai and the Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital. Since 1994, Project DOCC, created by parents of children with a chronic illness and/or disability, has been teaching physicians and other professionals about children with special health care needs. Project DOCC’s mission is to improve each patient’s quality of life and to promote an understanding of the issues involved in caring for a family living with special health care needs.
Amy DeMattia, MD, MPH
Amy DeMattia, MD, MPH, FAAP, joined Westside Pediatrics in July of 2005. Dr. DeMattia is a graduate of Cornell University Medical College. She completed her Pediatric Residency, Masters in Public Health and fellowship in General Academic Pediatrics at The Mount Sinai Hospital.
Dr. DeMattia lives in Manhattan with her husband and two children.
Victoria Dixon Dahms, MD
Victoria Dixon Dahms MD, FAAP, is a graduate of Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She completed her Pediatric Residency training at The Mount Sinai Hospital where she was Chief Resident in the Department of Pediatrics.
After completing her Chief Residency, Dr. Dahms joined a private practice in Bergen County, New Jersey where she practiced primary care pediatrics for five years prior to joining Westside Pediatrics in 2012. She remains active in medical student and resident education. Dr. Dahms is also involved in the Mount Sinai Hospital Pediatric Residency Selection Committee.
Dr. Dahms enjoys spending her time with her husband, four children, cat and dog.
Christina Welsh Madhany, MD
Christina Welsh Madhany, MD, FAAP, joined Westside Pediatrics in September 2017 after completing her residency program. She is graduate of the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and completed her pediatric residency training at Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital at Columbia University. Dr. Madhany chose to specialize in pediatrics as she was drawn to focus on childhood development and the unique opportunity to forge longitudinal relationships with patients and their families. During her education and training, she spent time studying bioethics to better understand care issues for medically complex children including medical decision making and palliative care. Having three young children, she relates to and appreciates both the challenges and joys of parenthood at this time and she strives to compassionately care for each patient and family as she would her own.
In her free time, Dr. Madhany enjoys cooking, playing tennis and traveling with her family.
Preeti Parikh, MD
Preeti Parikh, MD, FAAP, holds degrees from Columbia College, Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and has completed her post graduate training at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Dr. Parikh has been in private practice since 2007 on the Upper East Side before joining Westside Pediatrics. She is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai where she works with medical students and residents. Dr. Parikh serves as an American Academy of Pediatrics spokesperson and is the Chief Medical Officer of HealthiNation. In these various roles, she combines her passion of clinical care and consumer health to empower people to achieve their optimal health.
She lives in NYC and has twin children. Her favorite ways to stay healthy are biking and taking long walks with her family.
Debbie Horn, MD
Debbie Horn, MD, FAAP, is a graduate of The Mount Sinai School of Medicine and completed her Pediatric Residency training at The Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Horn joined Westside Pediatrics in 2004.
She lives in Westchester with her husband and three children.
Nicole Mann, MD
Nicole Mann, MD, FAAP, CLC, is the newest member of Westside Pediatrics, joining in 2023. She is a graduate of the Drexel University College of Medicine and completed her pediatric training at The Mount Sinai Hospital where she served as Chief Resident. She continues to serve as Clinical Instructor at The Mount Sinai Hospital where she remains active in medical education. In addition to her passion for general pediatrics. Dr. Mann has a special interest in lactation medicine, completing her Certified Lactation Consultant certification in 2022.
Dr. Mann lives on the Upper West Side, where she enjoys spending time in Central Park with her husband and her dog, Sadie.
Lia Album, MSN, CPNP
Lia Album grew up in Asia and Europe and attended the Lycée Français in London. In 1979 she moved to Israel where she lived on a kibbutz and then served in the Israeli Army. She received her Bachelors of Science and Masters of Science in Nursing from Columbia University.
Prior to joining Westside Pediatrics, in 2003, Lia worked in the Operating Rooms at Beth Israel Medical Center and New York Presbyterian in Pediatric Surgery. In 1989, Lia began working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Lia served on her local Board of Health for many years, including three years as its President. Lia is fluent in both French and Hebrew.
She lives in New Jersey with her husband and two dogs and enjoys spending time with her three children, granddaughter, playing tennis and traveling.
Suzanne M. Bussetti, RN, MSN, CPNP, IBCLC
Suzanne grew up in Highland Mills, New York. She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 1998 and Masters of Science in Nursing from Columbia University in 2001. In 1993, Suzanne began her career working as a nurse at Mount Sinai Medical Center on the pediatric floors. In 1995, she transferred to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit where she worked with Lia Album. In 2005, she joined Westside Pediatrics. She is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Associates and Practitioners, New York Nurses Association and The International Lactation Consultant Association.
She lives in New Jersey with her husband, Chris, and their two children.
